Terms of Service
Draft — under legal review. Questions: support@campline.app
1. What Campline is.
Campline is a queue-management and safety platform for fans who camp overnight before concerts. It verifies arrival by GPS, keeps an accountable order of the line, and gives every camp tools for check-ins, breaks, and community governance. Campline organizes the line; it does not operate, secure, or supervise any physical location.
2. Eligibility.
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If you're under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is okay with you camping overnight — Campline is a tool, not a guardian.
3. Camping is your decision and your responsibility.
Camping outdoors overnight carries inherent risks: weather, strangers, theft, exhaustion, and more. By committing to camp through Campline you acknowledge these risks and confirm you are choosing to camp voluntarily. Campline is not an emergency service. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the US). In-app safety tools notify other campers and moderators — they do not contact police, medical services, or venue security for you.
4. How the line works.
Committing to an event is free and earns no position. Position is earned only by GPS-verified physical arrival at the venue. The line closes to new arrivals at 11:59 PM local venue time the night before doors. Every camper follows the check-in schedule set for their line. Break time is set by the Line Lead equally for everyone.
5. Accountability and removal.
Camps govern themselves: elected moderators, camper juries, and a transparent activity log. You may be removed from a line by these community processes — for example, for line-cutting, harassment, or failing verification. No one is ever removed automatically: a human decision confirms every removal. Removal from a line is not a refund event because joining a line costs nothing.
6. Your conduct.
No harassment, threats, hate, impersonation, spam, or attempts to defraud the line (holding spots you don't occupy, manipulating GPS, coordinating false reports). Line chat is text-only. We reserve the right to restrict accounts that abuse the platform or other campers.
7. Child safety.
Content that exploits or endangers minors is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and preserved as required by US law. This is the one category handled directly by Campline rather than community moderation.
8. Campline Pro.
Pro is an optional yearly subscription (~$29.99/yr) covering identity and memory features — premium presentation of your camping record, cross-camper rankings, and a photo avatar. Pro never buys position, verification, break time, safety features, or any advantage in the line. Everything required to camp is free.
9. Your content.
You own what you post. You grant Campline a license to display it within the app as the service requires (your display name in your line, your messages in your line's chat, your camp record on your profile).
10. The service.
We may update, change, or discontinue features. We provide Campline "as is"; to the fullest extent permitted by law, Campline's liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.
11. Changes and contact.
We'll post changes to these terms here. Questions: support@campline.app.
